Jersey Taxation FAQs

When can I file my Jersey income tax return in 2026?

Jersey residents can file their 2025 personal tax return from early 2026. The paper return deadline is 31 May 2026 and the online return deadline is 31 July 2026. Rosscot’s tax team handles personal and company tax return preparation and submission, ensuring everything is filed accurately and on time to avoid Revenue Jersey penalties.

What is the due date for my Jersey tax return?

For the tax year, paper returns must be submitted by 31 May each year and online returns by 31 July. Company and partnership returns, along with the balance of tax payment, are due by 30 November. Missing these deadlines can result in automatic surcharges from Revenue Jersey. Rosscot manages the entire process on your behalf.

Can you claim tax back in Jersey?

Yes. Jersey residents may be entitled to tax relief through personal allowances, pension contributions, mortgage interest relief (2025 is the last year for this allowance in relation to your main residence), and other deductions depending on circumstances. Revenue Jersey administers these through your annual tax return. Rosscot’s specialist tax team reviews your position each year to ensure you are claiming every allowance you are entitled to, legally minimising what you pay.

What is the closing date for Jersey tax returns?

The closing date for paper personal tax returns is 31 May 2026. Online returns must be submitted by 31 July 2026. Corporate and partnership returns are due 30 November 2026, alongside the balance of tax payment. Rosscot prepares and submits returns on behalf of individuals and businesses across Jersey, ensuring nothing is missed and all deadlines are met.

Does Rosscot handle both Jersey and UK tax?

Rosscot’s tax team advises mainly on Jersey tax matters, however, we do provide limited UK assistance. With dedicated Tax Director Gary Todd, we monitor changes to Jersey tax legislation to ensure our clients always receive current, accurate advice specific to their circumstances.
